Two area teenagers involved in the 4-H youth development program received top honors July 25-28 at the 2012 State 4-H Congress at Clemson University. Casey Miller and Jordan Lake are both accomplished 4-Hers. Casey Miller, 17, of Greenwood County's Kirksey community was named a National 4-H Conference delegate, and she is eligible for a trip to conference in Washington. D.C. With the award comes a $500 educational scholarship. Additionally, Miller also won a National 4-H Congress scholarship, based on her state 4-H portfolio submitted in May and she completed an interview. The Congress honor includes a $500 educational scholarship and a trip to National 4-H Congress in Atlanta. She was also recently selected as a 4-H Horse Ambassador. Earlier this week, Miller competed at the Southern Regional 4-H Horse Championships in Perry, Ga.
